Trouble to Triumph is a hands-on, on-course specialty clinic designed to help you handle the shots that don’t come with a perfect lie or a clear path to the green. Held at Petaluma Golf & Country Club, we’ll have the rare opportunity to use the course itself as our classroom. With its hilly terrain, uneven lies and plenty of natural “trouble,” Petaluma gives us the perfect setting to practice the kinds of challenging shots you actually encounter during a round.
Led by LPGA Professionals Rebecka and Jessica, you’ll learn how to assess each situation, understand your options and choose the shot that gives you the best chance for success. From awkward lies and tricky shots around the green to getting over, under or around trouble, you’ll practice these skills in real-world situations, right where they happen.
What We’ll Cover
Trouble Shots Around the Green — learn different ways to play shots when a standard chip or pitch isn’t your best option
Awkward & Uneven Lies — adjust your setup and swing for uphill, downhill and other challenging lies
High & Low Shots — change your trajectory when you need to get over or stay under trouble
Creative Shots & Smart Escapes — explore different ways to get out of trouble and safely back into play
Course Management & Decision Making — assess risk, recognize your options and choose the shot that makes the most sense for your game
Clinic Day Structure
Coffee & Morning Welcome
We’ll start with coffee and light breakfast snacks while you meet the instructors and your fellow golfers. We’ll introduce the concepts for the day before heading out onto the course.
On-Course Instruction
This clinic takes place on the golf course, where you’ll work through real-life situations and learn how different lies, obstacles and course conditions affect your options. In small groups, you’ll have the opportunity to try different shots, make adjustments and discover which techniques work best for you.
Optional 9 Holes
After the clinic, stay and put what you’ve learned into practice with a fun 9 holes of golf. It’s a great opportunity to take your new skills directly onto the course while everything is still fresh.
